PARENTS MUST READ
Children are starting to use internet more often, such as myself, I am very careful about the information I put out on the internet. I would keep the computer in the living room so you can monitor your child's online activities. Especially if they are ages 6-10, watch who they talk to and maybe even do a background check. There are more and more online predators entering the internet communities and pose as celebrities or children. Be sure to go over online safety with your child.
(these are very helpful suggestions)
What NOT to do:
Give away your address
Post Nudes
Give away phone number
Give passwords to ANYTHING
Give away personal email
Give away credit card number
Give away personal ID
What to do if a predator asks for any of the above:
(CHILDREN SHOULD READ)
Tell your parents
Report/Block them
Change passwords to everything you have
Be careful of any other online predators
If a predator finds you:
Call the cops
Do NOT answer the door
Yell "I'M CALLING THE COPS"
Lock all of your doors
Run in a safe place to hide and wait until the cops get there
Do NOT try to shoot them
Make sure all windows are closed
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A CHILD HAS PARENTAL CONTROL SET ON THEIR COMPUTER.
